Textile stock can be design-specific and exposed to processing or buyer deductions. Industrial supplies may depend on grade, delivery and certification, while a logistics company earns a service fee on customer-owned cargo. The proposed bridge or working-capital structure should follow the borrower’s own earning and the actual documents.
Use distinct stock and receivable schedules for different activities, with clear ownership and net collection after deductions.
Quality claims can reduce the borrowing base
Sales may remain exposed to rejection, returns or commercial adjustments after dispatch. A textile batch can face shade or processing deductions, while an industrial batch may face a different specification test. Build a separate schedule for open claims, replacement obligations and agreed credit notes. Do not present a disputed amount as an ordinary debtor simply because it appears in the ledger. The review should distinguish genuine collection delays from costs required to preserve the customer relationship.
Delivery cost continues after goods leave the plant
The cash cycle can include transport advances, handling, storage and customer delivery acceptance. A supply or logistics contract can require transport and handling payments before final delivery or service certification. Reconcile the delivery terms with who bears freight, risk and delay costs. Include unpaid service providers in the liability schedule. A sound proposal shows the cash required to turn finished stock into an accepted sale rather than financing production in isolation.
Export receipts need document and buyer review
An export sale involves buyer risk as well as dispatch performance. A buyer’s shipping and document terms may delay the start of the payment period beyond production or dispatch. Check payment terms, shipping evidence, document discrepancies, possible deductions and the currency of the receipt. Separate an accepted receivable from an unshipped order. Trade structures should be assessed against the actual documents and existing bank arrangements, without assuming every export invoice can be discounted.
